J DPortfolio has both front-end and back-end functionality. From front-end you can assign a category or all categories into a menu. And that menu will show the portfolio of all the category or portfolio of a specific category.
Create New Category
First go to joomla back-end admin panel then go to J DPortfolio component then you will get option to create new category. Just create new category from there just like below image:
Now once you have created category now you need to add portfolio into that category. So to do that please go to portfolio tab of the component. Now you will see new button at top click on that. Then you will get a screen like :
You have option to configure the component with below parameter.
Now enter the data and press save. Then the configuration will be save and front-end will take effect.
- Border Color
- Hover Border Color
- Text Color
- Hover Background Color
- Title Color
- Comment Access
- Show Detail Link
User can give comment from front-end about a portfolio. Now from back-end you can approve that comments. Now follow the below image to do that
You have option to configure the global parameter. Now to do so please go to back-end then J DPortfolio component. The you will see Parameters tab at top right corner. Click on that to configure the global parameter like below image
Once you are done press save button.
Assigning the component into menu
When all the back-end configuration is done then you need to add the component into a menu. To do so please go to menu manager and assign the component into a menu. Now at menu parameter you will get below option:
Now enter data and save it.
J DPortfolio comes with a module too. It is easy to configure the module. Just go to module manager then find J DPortfolio module. Click on that and will open module parameter like below image:
Now enter your desire data and assign the module into a position and press save button. Then you will get view at front-end like below images:
